Squad Meeting

After meting we went hunting in icy lands and near GEB's house. Andre donated some magic items.

GEB scammed by UORealty broker Stan!

Sunday, GEB entered into a transaction to buy a large forge. He contacted the broker through UORealty, a well known brokering organization, and assumed he was reputable. The deal was, GEB would pay him 2 small houses and 900k gold for a large smithy. The deal went through, GEB transferred the houses and the gold and this Stan told him to wait five minutes and he would be back. Well, he never came back. GEB contacted the site manager, Dungeon King, and the manager was shocked. He was first suspicious of the possibility that GEB had set up this Stan guy but after looking through GEB’s journals and icq log, he was less skeptical. He contacted Seven of Nine, that his contacts on Catskills well known as a honest and trustworthy lady, to get a reference on GEB and he was very impressed with GoL and GEB’s reputation. So then the search for Stan the Scam began.

They caught up to the scammer with help of Counselor Lady Jezebel and GM Bodak. GM Bodak moved him in jail. GEB and Dungeon King were taken to the jail to talk to him and he logged. The GM wanted to hear this Stan’s side of the story. When Stan logged back in, he denied everything and no amount of journals or icq log would convince the GM that GEB and Dungeon King were not trying to set Stan up. So he got away with the scam. Following day, just past midnight, Dungeon King met GEB and Seven at Yew bank. He offered GEB 1.5 millions gold plus a small house to compensate for his troubles. GEB took the offer and felt very lucky to be compensated at all... much less in this way.

Dungeon King has now released all of his brokers from his site and is going to deal alone now. He was quite honorable and stuck by his word the whole transaction. This was a hard lesson for he and GEB both.
It seems the Dungeon King’s site is a good one now as long as you deal with him personally. He was very impressed with GoL, he did not know us before because he does most of his business on Baja.
This Stan the Scam has following characters, so be aware if you'll meet one of them:

Cheech, [NWG]. He was in Northwood's Guard during this event, but some days later Kylone Velve, Guildmaster of NWG, kicked him out when informed about this facts.
Mikhal II. After scam he put a guildstone on one of GEB's houses and founded a guild named "Zombie Horde, Brain Eaterz!", [ZH2].
