Guild Meeting

Attendees: GEB, Ashram, Xtinct, BRiaNNa, Kalamar, Ciele.

Pancho Villa of EGoJ has been promoted to full membership; Puallux of EGoJ has been promoted to VM of EGoJ; Caromon of KoS started the testing period to be HG.

Valkyrie talked about the newly created roleplay war guild stone named Silver Vanguard of Light [SVL]:

As some of your know I am a staunch roleplayers but because of Trammel and the highlighting problems there and because of course not everyone in GoL wishes to partecipate we have placed a new stone for rping only for secondary characters.

Basic rules:
1) This is a roleplay stone: those on it will remain in character at all times;
2) The ROE will be strictly enforced at all times;
3) Disagreements will be handled over icq if that are OOC.

The stone is totally voluntary and should be alot of fun. There will be hierarchy. I made my paladin Quinn as Lord of the stone, and we shall go from there. I named the guild the Silver Vanguard of Light but we can change it later. I need suggestions of all kinds. Expect there to be squire and apprentices and ways to rp working up in the guild. It is not expected the characters to be developed, and in fact thats the point to rp your development day after day. We will work on plots storylines and quests and a mini society for interation with other guilds. Icq me if you are interested and we will discuss your characters place in SVL, and any questions please feel free to contact me or post about it.

After meeting we went hunting in T2A Oasis.

THE RACE AROUND THE WORLD - by BRiaNNa

GWoJ Attendees: GEB-Captain, Karl Urr-Paladin, Udo Ostenwald-Helmsman, Seven-Of-Nine-GEB’s Advisor, BRiaNNa-Team Turtle.

At 14:15 we embarked on a race that was met with many challenges. With our first set of clues in hand, we were ready to begin. However, much to our dismay, Karl lost connection to our world and was unable to re-enter in time for us to begin our journey. Reluctantly, we left our comrade behind and with GEB at the helm, we set sail to our first destination - The Tinkers’ Guild in Trinsic to find the total number of chairs therein. Enroute, we learned of Karl’s attempt to travel the rough roads to Trinsic in order to re-join the team. Despite his valiant efforts, he encountered great resistance and tragically fell to the mighty beasts that plague Britannia.

In spite of our heavy hearts and with answer in hand, Udo took over the helm’s position and we journeyed on to the Horse’s Head Tavern in Jhelom. There, we received our second set of clues and determined that Serpent’s Hold would be our next stop. We made the Easterly trip and quickly ran about… counting the total number of archer buttes available as the clue had instructed. Once our team agreed that there were 14 in all, it was onward to the Magincia Parliament to acquire our third set of clues.

With clues in hand, we briefly deliberated… and collectively agreed that the Scholar’s Cut in Moonglow is where we’d find our answer. So we made the short trip to the “Island of Magic.” Once we stepped off the boat, Brianna mistakenly by-passed a useful teleporter and was separated from the team for some time. Not willing to leave another comrade behind, the remainder of the team waited for her to re-join the group. With the number of items in Rhonda’s display case carefully noted in the clue book (5), we promptly set sail for the Deep Forest Healing in Yew to receive our forth clue book.

It was a long, perilous journey… The seas were fierce and the winds were rough, yet each had determination in their eyes. Upon reaching our destination and reviewing our next clue, we were again traveling the turbulent seas. With wind-burnt faces and sea-drenched hair, we embarked back to our starting place for our final quest.

We stepped off the boat hurriedly… Hoping our time would be better than that of our competition. We were met with smiles as GEB received that last of our clue books. This time; however, the clue was written in old runic script. Without hesitation, Udo and Seven began deciphering the old code. It read:

We journeyed to the new land called trammel for a fun grand adventure. Spying an opening in the mountain and we foolishly entered. Never having the chance to proceed beyond they entry, we were beset by giant insects and the creatures of rock. Alas many of our numbers fell. The survivors being too few in number to bring home the bodies, we buried the comrades together where they fell. Tis a shame that we have to leave them behind.
How many comrades failed to return?

Thanks to their quick translating reflexes, we boarded our sea vessel again and set sail for Shame in Trammel to count the number of headstones at the dungeon’s entrance. Little did we know the fate that lie ahead…

We stepped off the boat and were shortly ambushed by most of the vile creatures that walked Britannia. Quickly, Brianna was separated from the team once again as she desperately tried to escape the onslaught. In a last ditch effort, she managed to message her teammates of her impending demise. Death came quickly for her. As the tension mounted, Udo implored GEB and Seven to aid their second fallen comrade while he continued on and safely made the transition to Trammel. Franticly, GEB and Seven began to make their way through the onslaught… hoping to find the corpse that once was their dear friend. GEB was the first to arrive… beckoning Brianna’s ghost to make its way back to the boat while he bravely fought off the on-coming beasts. But alas, weakened from the journey, he too fell. As he sought out a healer to continue the quest, a message was sent… our dear Seven had fallen prey to the menace of this land. The three managed to separately find healers. Brianna boarded the boat… surrounded by monsters, while GEB and Seven attempted to recover what remained on the deceased bodies. Once again, tragedy struck… both were dead again. By this time, Udo had safely made it back to the boat. Out of breath, he began slaying the beasts - speaking his magical incantations. When in the distance they heard a gallop… out of the forest came Richard Langdow!! Richard began to slay the beasts one by one as Udo went searching for GEB and Seven who were being repeated slain. Finally, with most items recovered, we left this horrid land and set sail for Britain. As all breathed a sigh of relief, tragedy struck yet again. Crossing the server boundaries kicked Udo and Brianna off the vessel. Shortly, our ill-fated Brianna was dead yet again. Courageously, Udo fought off the creatures and managed to resurrect Brianna and open a gate to Skara Brae for her before leaving our world. With the end of the race near, Seven’s connection to Britannia was lost. Eager to finish, GEB and Brianna left their beloved Seven behind and sailed back to Britain. FINALLY… at the Custom’s House, the race ended. GEB graciously thanked Rowena for her part in the event and said with a *grin*, “It was amuzing!”
